We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data is processed when you visit this website and how we handle it.

This website is operated on OpenBit GmbH’s own servers in Switzerland. All embedded content and functionality – including the live chat – is served from our own infrastructure in Switzerland. No content from external third-party sources that would enable tracking is loaded.
When the website is accessed, technically necessary data (IP address, date and time of access, page requested, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, and browser and operating-system identifier) is processed in server logs. This processing serves solely the secure and trouble-free operation of the website and the prevention of attacks. The log data is deleted or anonymised after 30 days.
If you use the contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, message) is transmitted to and stored in our self-hosted ticketing system (Zammad) on servers in Switzerland to process your request. The data is used solely to handle your enquiry and is not shared with third parties without your consent. We retain it for as long as necessary to handle your request and to comply with any statutory retention obligations.
On this website we offer a live chat, provided via our self-hosted Zammad instance on servers in Switzerland. When you use the chat, the messages you send, any details you voluntarily provide (e.g. name, email address) and technical connection data (in particular a session identifier, IP address, time and page accessed) are processed. This processing serves solely to answer your enquiry in real time. The chat history is stored in our Zammad instance and retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and to comply with any statutory retention obligations. The data is not shared with third parties without your consent.
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics services. For the operation of the live chat, a technically necessary session identifier is stored in your browser so that an ongoing chat can be continued across multiple page views. This identifier serves the chat function only and is not used to analyse your behaviour.
Under Swiss data protection law, you have the right to obtain information about the data processed about you, as well as to have it corrected, deleted or released to you; you may also object to processing. To do so, please contact info@openbit.swiss. If you disagree with the processing, you can file a report with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or bring the matter before the competent civil court.
